Individual Sponsors
I am proud to annouce that I will be representing DaimlerChrysler again in 2007. I hope to gain more domestic exposure this season as I will be racing mainly in the USA. I am very excited about representing such a large company. I will proudly wear the HEMI logo on my uniform while I race like I have a HEMI engine of my own. Dodge and I have a similar philosophy: to grab life by the horns.

Pat and Garry Lindsay
Without my loving and extremely supportive parents there is no way I would be where I am now. They have been through every high and low point of my life, encouraging me through academics and several different sports and clubs. They have done things like help me move to a different apartment every year in college or sending me an Easter basket every year. And they continue to be my #1 sponsor financially in my triathlon career.

Stan Thompson
Stan Thompson sponsors me for life with his massage therapy. Located in Blacksburg, Virginia near the Virginia Tech campus, he helped with my recovery through several injuries and kept me training strong since the beginning of my triathlon career. He truly knows athletes and how their bodies work in training, racing and recovery. Thank you, Stan, for your awesome support!

Steven Baker
Steven Baker not only did a great job designing my website, but he taught me how to work on it myself. He also took many of the great photos posted here. To see another great website he designed and maintains, go to the Virginia Tech Triathlon website. To see more of his photos, check out his Flickr account.
Shawn Stegall
Shawn helped me design my first website and he created some awesome flash banners for it. It was a great site and he helped maintain it as well. Shawn also sponsored me with footing the bill for 2 years of using the domain name www.michellelindsay.com! He is a great triathlete and designs other websites like this one.

Scott Baldwin & the Southwest
Aquatic Team
I was extremely lucky to be able to swim with SWAT during my senior year at Virginia Tech. Scott often catered his workouts to fit a triathlete's swimming needs. I definitely got faster this winter and my stroke technique is much improved. Also, it wouldn't have happened without the rest of the team pushing me in the pool every day. Check out their website at www.swat-swimming.org.

Virginia Tech Cycling Team &
Virginia Tech Triathlon Team
I just wanted to thank the members of the Virginia Tech Cycling and Triathlon teams. Both teams helped shape me as an athlete and the members have not only endured many hours of training and putting up with me, but also became great friends that I will never forget.

Lou and Shirley McElwee
My grandparents not only travel to any races I have in the North Carolina area, including my very first triathlon ever in Charlotte, NC, they continue to support me financially and through their words of encouragement. I am very lucky to have such awesome grandparents who live so close to where I went to school for 4 years.

Mary Jo and Barry Voorhees
I have a very large family and it's awesome to have some of them keep up with my races by reading all my emails and race reports as well as getting up early and listening to live coverage on the internet. My Aunt Mary Jo and Uncle Barry have also supported me financially so that I am able to train, travel, and race. I greatly appreciate their love and support!

Tom and Shelle McElwee
I am grateful to have such supportive relatives! Uncle Tom and Aunt Shelle have contributed financially to my training and racing and have followed my season through my newsletters and emails. It's great to stay connected this way and I feel so lucky for it!

Paul and Jeanette Winistorpher
Paul and Jeanette have two twin boys - Jonah and Soren - that I babysat regularly for a couple years during my time at Virginia Tech. The Winistorphers were very interested in my triathlon training and career and provided financial support as well. I hope that their boys grow up to be as active in sports as I was!

I received my Computrainer from Racermate last fall and it has been an extremely valuable training tool for getting my bike intervals done and being able to keep my bike training consistent through the miserable Blacksburg winter. What is a Computrainer? It is basically a treadmill for your bike - you can monitor everything from cadence to wattage to heart rate to wind speed. It's like a video game that you actually get a workout from!

I was lucky enough to run into Seigler Imports when they came to give a spiel to the VT Cycling team about sponsorship. I was very impressed by the flashy frames they showed off to the team. They chose to sponsor me individually and I've been riding a CSK since fall 2004. I definitely believe that my awesome frame was a good reason for my extremely successful first professional season.

Team Sponsors

ASICS provides the team with racing and training gear ranging from training shoes to racing singlets to backpacks. I've run in ASICS since before high school and I never doubted their quality and devotion to performance and comfort.

Rudy Project is a team sponsor for our helmets, sunglasses, and equipment bags. Their glasses are functional AND stylish and their helmets are very distinctive, helping our fans pick us out easily in the bike pack.

Blackwell Research is a team sponsor that not only provides the team with flashy, extremely fast wheels, but also provides other parts like saddles, cranks, seatposts, and stems. They utilize wind tunnel testing for their parts (and athletes!) to ensure optimal performance.

Profile Design sponsors the team with their bicycle parts like handlebars, aerobars, waterbottles and bottle cages, stems, forks, and other parts. Profile definitely leads the industry with their safe, functional, and fast equipment.

Powerbar is a team sponsor and a name that many would recognize. Not only with their original PowerBar Performance, they now have hydration beverages, natural nut bars, energy gels, and bars made especially for women.

Blue Seventy is a team sponsor that provides the team with the best triathlon wetsuit available. I wouldn't swim in anything else besides this one.
Kinesys Sunscreen protects me and my teammates while we're out in the sun in training and racing. With all their different varieties of spray and lotion sunscreen, I always feel safe from the sun's harmful rays.

***Sponsors!***
I am currently looking for financial sponsors for my 2007 season. I will be racing domestically this year, and I will take advantage of as many media opportunities as possible, including websites. This may be a beneficial way to promote your company or business, so please email me if you are interested or if you have any questions about how I can help with your marketing needs.
